The wind and the little breezes caught the feathers and carried them everywhere: out onto the rooftops, into the streets, under cars, up into trees, out into the backyards where the children play, and even out to the big highway, and on and on farther still into the distance.
Those feathers are like your lies about Me. What you have started, you cannot stop, even if you are sorry. You may be able to tell a few people that you lied about My Truth, but the winds have carried your lies everywhere. You can blow out a match but you cannot blow out the great forest fire that one match can start. Even so the tongue is a little member. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindles.”

FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY For the love of money is the root of all evil: Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.(1Timothy. 6:10 )
When the major focus of a church pastor is fund raising or the collection of monies for pretentious “church” projects and schemes aimed at building bigger and fancier church buildings, or of “feathering” his or her domestic nest, instead of supporting the real mission of going into all the world to preach the gospel to all creatures (Mark 16:15) then it’s time for reformation! Indeed it is good business to have a big congregation that sits in your hallowed halls of religiosity month after month, year after year pouring endless amounts of money into church coffers. What is quite amazing though is why “the congregation” accepts such blatant materialism. “The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end? (Jeremiah 5:31) Could it be because they, the people, are in a sense excusing their own sin of flagrant materialism by allowing this behavior in their pastor or priest?
“The time of harvest is passing the summer is ending and we are not saved.” (Jeremiah 8:20). Tell your people the truth Mr. Pastor! Fellowship is NOT the main focus of Christianity. God brought persecution to the early church for failing to obey His command to spread His message to those countries surrounding Israel. They loved fellowship more than obedience to Jesus’ own command to GO! So God sent Saul and Herod to “force” the church to spread the Gospel! Read Acts 8:1, 9:1 & 12:1! Paul, Peter, John, James and others went at Jesus’ command with nothing but their staff, sandals and what was on their backs. (Luke 10:1-4) Jesus was and still is our role model, did He not leave the hallowed halls of heaven to tread the dusty roads of this earth to bring the gospel to all mankind? Should not our pastors follow the leader?

LIES PASTORS TELL FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY What is this church mischief of requiring service fee for the laying on of hands for healing? Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! (Acts 8:20). True men of God found in the Bible were not hirelings! “And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments….. (2Kings.5:26) “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock”. (1 Peter: 5:2,3). Intimidating people to come to your church or to give tithe and offering by telling them they will go to hell if they don’t. How can anyone go to hell for not going to church when salvation is a free gift from God? “No by works of righteousness which we have done (by being and doing good), but according to His mercy He saved us; by the washing and regeneration of the Holy Ghost.” (Titus 3:5).
THE LAW OF LOVE: MATTHEW 22:37-40 One of the many beautiful things about living Jesus’ law of Love in this new testament age is that the giving of tithe and gifts is sup-posed to be a love offering. Contrary to what many pastors and prophets teach; Jesus never left us a commandment to tithe or give offering. As Jesus gave His life in love, freely, for the sins of the world, so does He hope we will feel compelled to give of ourselves and at times our money to help His cause of spreading the gospel round the world. “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

(2 Corinthians 9:6-7). “For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.” (2 Corinthians 8:12).
Exhorting money for personal gain is not a new problem within religious circles. The religious leaders of Jesus’ day were plagued with the same greedy spirit. But it didn’t begin there, look at this verse in Micah 3:11 “The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? None evil can come upon us.”
“If the heart and soul of society is sick will not the body also be sick?”.
“Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buy-ing and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money-changers and the benches of those selling doves.” (Matthew. 21:12).
“No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. The Church leaders, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus”. (Luke. 16:13,14)

To be a part of the soon to come, wonderful, love filled Kingdom of God make Jesus your true love today. Accept Him into your heart right now by praying the following prayer. “Dear Jesus, please come into my heart, I believe You died as payment for my sins and mistakes, I also believe You were raised from the dead that I might have eternal life. Please give me your free gift of ev-erlasting life in Jesus Name, Amen”.
